About the program and role:


This role is part of the team at The/Nudge Institute working with urban street vendors to enable financial inclusion. You will be responsible for identifying potential customers, promoting loan products, understanding customer needs and managing relationships with customers. You will play a crucial role in contributing to the project’s overall success.

In this role, you will do:

  • Sales and Business Development:

    • Identify and reach out to potential customers to promote loan products. 

    • Conduct field visits and sales campaigns to generate leads and close sales.

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to encourage referrals.

    • Achieve weekly and monthly sales targets set by the organization.

  • Customer Interaction:

    • Provide information on product features, benefits, and terms to help street vendors make informed decisions.

    • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through effective service and support.

  • Market Research:

    • Share feedback and suggestions to improve products and sales strategies.

  • Documentation and Compliance:

    • Ensure that all documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with regulatory requirements.

    • Assist customers in filling out forms and applications and ensure proper submission of documents.

  • Team Collaboration:

    • Work closely with team lead and other team members to ensure a seamless customer engagement process.

    • Participate in regular team meetings to share updates and discuss strategies for achieving goals.


Apply if you have:

  • Educational Background:

    • Bachelor's degree in any discipline is preferred, can also consider 10+2 with relevant experience

  • Experience:

    • 1-2 years of experience in field roles, preferably in microfinance or small finance banks.

  • Skills:

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    • Strong sales and customer management abilities.

    • Ability to understand and explain financial products. 

    • Customer-focused with a dedication to providing exceptional service.

    • Proficiency in English along with fluency in local language Kannada/Tamil required. 

  • Other Requirements:

    • Willingness to travel and conduct fieldwork daily.

    • Goal-oriented and self-motivated with the ability to work independently

    • Passion for financial inclusion of underserved communities
