About ReFarm

The/Nudge’s Collective Farming initiative for RainFed farms (ReFarm) is focused on building a scalable, sustainable and climate resilient model to help increase income of smallholder farmers practicing rainfed agriculture, and break free from poverty. Our approach involves transitioning to regenerative and high-income diversified agriculture by solving for the farmer’s challenges in access to investment for water and farm inputs as well as the risk associated with farming transformations.

The solution model comprises 3 main interventions -
1. Creation of an in-situ farm pond which stores rainwater and allows farmers to cultivate for a longer duration,
2. Shift to diversified multilayer agricultural practice involving high-value crops, year-round harvests and
3. Facilitating market access and guaranteed off-take at Farmgate with post harvest operations at a collective level.
