Senior Manager/Associate Director, Training & Placements - Future Perfect

The Challenge:

India has become the 5th largest economy in the world, but ~360 million are “poor” (using Government metrics), and 145 million live below the poverty line. This inequity is unacceptable. About 3.4% of our annual budget or 0.28% of the income of the top 1% of our population would lift and could bring everybody above the poverty line, however, this is complex and we need the best of human intellects to be focused on solving it.

About CSDE’s Future Perfect Program:

Future Perfect exists to improve job readiness for the youth and enable upward socio-economic mobility through English proficiency and development of 21st century employability skills. Future Perfect is designed on the belief that proficiency in spoken English is achieved by adopting an immersive approach, implemented through experiential, holistic and group learning. 

Currently, Future Perfect serves ~15k students annually through its 425-member team of community mobilisers, trainers, placement coordinators, product and curriculum designers, technical architects and data analysts. Our goal is to create a deeply impactful and highly scalable model for online learning that enables underprivileged youth across the country to lead flourishing lives.

In this role, you will:

  • be responsible for the student learning and placement operations

  • build systems , processes and capabilities which deliver strong student outcomes and lower student attrition

  • lead and manage a team of 200+ trainers

  • lead and manage the placement team to cater to jobs for all students

  • design and implement the overall training and placement strategy for the Future Perfect program

  • incorporate the right monitoring & evaluation tools to capture the effectiveness of  admissions, training and placements 

  • provide periodic strategic input on the delivery of the Future Perfect program to the FP Head and the other leaders in the team

  • collaborate with the admissions and product teams to deliver the best student , training & placement outcomes for the program

We are looking for someone who:

  • enjoys leading people and teams to outcomes

  • comes with exceptional operations management and analytical skills

  • enjoys the challenge of working in a fast-paced, scaled start-up environment 

  • comes with creative problem solving skills and execution chops

  • strongly desires to make deep societal impact at non-profit sector salaries 

  • comes with at least 10+ years of work experience

We would prefer that you:

  • are a post graduate preferably with a management degree

  • come with an understanding of the target audience (underprivileged youth) 

  • have demonstrated training and team management experience

  • have led operations at scale
