About the role:
We are seeking a proactive and dynamic person to lead our efforts in mobilizing and working with street vendors for financial inclusion. This role is critical in driving community engagement and the ideal candidate will work closely with a team of field sales officers ensuring the effective implementation of our program with street vendors in Bangalore.

In this role, you will:
Community Engagement and Mobilization:
Lead and manage a team of Community Development Executives (CDEs)/Sales Officers to effectively engage with street vendors.
Develop and implement strategies to mobilize street vendors and encourage their participation in loan programs.
Build strong relationships with community leaders and other stakeholders to enhance outreach efforts.
Data Collection and Field Insights:
Gather and analyze data from field operations to understand the needs, challenges, and behaviors of street vendors.
Provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve loan product offerings and outreach strategies.
Monitor and report on the effectiveness of mobilization efforts, adjusting strategies as needed.
Training and Development:
Train and mentor CDEs on effective communication, community engagement, and sales techniques.
Ensure that CDEs are equipped with the knowledge and tools necessary to educate street vendors about loan products and application processes.
Operations Management:
Oversee day-to-day field operations, ensuring that mobilization activities are carried out efficiently and effectively.
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth processing of loan applications and disbursements.
Manage resources, including budgets, to support outreach and mobilization activities.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work closely with internal teams, including product development, to align field operations with overall business goals.
Act as a liaison between the field and product team, ensuring that the needs and feedback of street vendors are communicated and addressed.
Reporting and Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of all field activities, including interactions with street vendors, challenges encountered, and outcomes achieved.
Prepare regular reports for senior management, highlighting key insights, progress, and recommendations for improvement.
Flexibility and Adaptability:
Ability to work in a dynamic startup environment.
Be prepared to take on additional responsibilities and tasks as needed, based on team requirements and organizational priorities.
Demonstrate flexibility in adapting to changing circumstances and priorities, ensuring that the team remains responsive to the needs of the community.
Apply if you have:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Social Work, Development Studies, or a related field.
Demonstrated history of strong performance and growth over 5-8 years as branch manager or area manager within the microfinance or financial services sector or in similar roles such as field operations or sales.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience managing field teams especially the ability to inspire, motivate, and guide field teams to achieve goals
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with diverse communities.
Analytical mindset with the ability to gather and interpret data to inform decision-making.
Proficiency in local languages (e.g., Kannada, Tamil) is highly desirable.
Experience of working in field sales roles in Bangalore is desirable.
Willingness to travel frequently to various field locations.
Deep understanding of and empathy for the needs and challenges faced by urban low-income communities
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on continuous improvement
