The/Nudge is an action institute building resilient livelihoods to alleviate poverty. We work with women, farmers, tribals and youth on rural development, agriculture, skilling and economic inclusion, along with 15+ central and state government partners.


Our economic inclusion journey for 25 million Indians, has reached 10 states with $250M of government funding to cover 1.25M people. Our incubator, accelerator and grand challenges have supported 200+ social entrepreneurs including 17 Forbes 30U30, 3 EarthShot Prize winners, 1 Time Magazine cover and more.


Set up with support from 90+ eminent philanthropists , 40+ corporates and 15+ foundations including Gates, Mackenzie Scott, Vinod Khosla, Nandan Nilekani, Tata Trusts, Skoll, Meta, LinkedIn, HDFC, Mphasis, KPMG and L'Oreal, we are contributing towards a "poverty-free India, within our lifetime".

What are we solving for?

We are solving for households in poverty who are also financially and socially vulnerable through a targeted, multi-faceted, and sequenced model called the graduation approach, which has demonstrated that we can durably pull households out of poverty.

At The/Nudge Institute, we have been piloting this program for the past 3 years and are in the process of catalyzing the propagation of the same. Our purpose is to contribute to making the most excluded individuals a contributing member to the economy:

  • Enable govt to adopt by providing research, design, and implementation support

  • Continue to implement on its own to iterate the design for impact at scale

  • Enable more NGOs to adopt technical and capacity-building support

  • Continue to generate data on poverty and evidence on graduation approach to nudge governments to adopt at-scale

  • Build technology solutions for NGOs and governments to adopt and implement at scale & with quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Learning Pathways & Curriculum Design: Help the team develop learning journeys for different participants, integrating various formats to ensure holistic skill development. Identify places for learner and trainer improvement.

  • Knowledge Assessment: Design and implement assessments to measure learning outcomes and scale based on feedback.

  • Scale Assessments: Ensure timely assessment design and rollout

  • Database Management: Create, Maintain and update the assessment database for all running programs in collaboration with concerned stakeholders.

  • Program Management: Support programs with dashboard and data walkthroughs and assist stakeholders with dashboard support as and when required. 

  • Quality Assurance: Manage monitoring frameworks and conduct field visits to ensure assessment effectiveness and adherence to standards in the rollout.

  • Risk Management: Identify risks and develop strategies to maintain timelines.

  • Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate and brainstorm on Learning design measurability with various teams within The/Nudge to ensure seamless and timely rollout. Provide guidance and support to field teams to address challenges and achieve L&D-related goals.

  • Field Observations: Conduct regular field visits to assess content and assessment impact, feedback collection and implement improvements.


Qualifications and Skills Required

  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in program management/ project management in Education / Communications.

  • Experience in Product Design/Program Management/Product Management.

  • Experience in data management, content management or data analysis. 

  • An understanding of pedagogy/andragogy or a background in Education or Instructional Design is preferable. 

  • Excellent English and Hindi language skills.

  • Experience in collaborating with multiple stakeholders is a must.

  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills.

  • Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple stakeholders.

  • Comfort with ambiguity and changing priorities.

  • Can-do attitude, hunger to learn and a growth mindset.

  • A strong desire to make a difference and are comfortable with non-profit sector salaries.

  • Should be prepared to travel for regular short periods for field research.
