Impact Hub Vision:
The Impact Hub aims to be a credible and reputed M&E and Knowledge centre for the livelihood ecosystem, conducting high-quality evaluations and research while it continues to be the Impact measurement and Management function for all T/NIs programs internally.
We participate and partner with the best-in-class organisations (government, market, and civil society) and create knowledge products (evidence, insight reports, white papers, etc.) to generate actionable insights, with a particular focus on evaluations and action research.
All this while, the most important thing for the Hub is to firmly root itself in field realities and continuously adapt to the ever-evolving ecosystem.
At The/Nudge you will:
● Collaborate with the leaders across the centers at The/Nudge to create and validate their Monitoring and Evaluation strategy and Theory of Change. Lead the design of a common impact assessment framework to accommodate multiple programs.
● Define the monitoring and evaluation framework for each program including metrics and what is driving/hindering data collection.
● Drive evaluation (including third party and multi-player evaluation). The focus will be deep understanding of the outcomes to generate insights to help refine/enhance the work on ground. The team will involve external stakeholders to make this most effective.
● Create access to external data sets and impact information (both government and non-government) and integrate them with our data and knowledge to provide learning for our work and insights to the broader field.
● Support the wider organization in thinking through and integrating cross-cutting areas like gender, empowerment, SDGs, etc.
● Be a senior member of a team that is seen as a thought leader in the “Impact evaluation” space and influences it (from policy to practice) through a deep understanding of the practitioners’ perspective rather than an academic point of view.
● Have a deep understanding of the evaluation space and its evolution over time - from methodologies used and the practical aspects of executing them in the Indian context, to more importantly understanding what to measure to understand impact and what is driving/impeding it.
● Have strong relationships with key stakeholders including other operating organizations, funders, M&E organizations and organizations doing field data collection (traditional and new) that are interested/working in the evaluation and impact measurement space.
● Lead and mentor a team. Create Learning and Development spaces of data intersections for Impact team and the organizations at large.
● Collaborate with third party evaluators in and beyond the development space.
Apply if you have:
● More than 10 years of experience, ideally combined with 4-6 years of M&E experience in India or the other developing countries (across rural/urban livelihoods, education, health, environment). Experience with incubation support, impact investing or government engagement is desirable as well.
● Strong analytical and synthesis skills; experience in formulating data design and establishing a sound analytical framework around it. Strong statistical knowledge is a must.
● Ability to apply the knowledge of theoretical frameworks to practical situations.
● Ability to combine macroeconomic understanding with microeconomic aspects of programs.
